 About ICA

Who is ICA?

Inland Coalition on Aging

In 2008, the Inland Empire Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Coalition was formed by the leadership of the Riverside County Office on Aging to advance integrated care and service delivery of LTSS. The Coalition included several county agencies, social services organizations, and healthcare agencies from both counties. In 2020, Leadership from Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) and Community Access Center revived the Coalition by hosting the Inland Empire Master Plan for Aging Convening. The inaugural event was attended by 300 leaders from organizations serving older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. The remarkable response confirmed the need to develop and implement a local Master Plan for Aging.

Since 2022, the Coalition demonstrated commitment to engaging the community by holding regional stakeholder feedback sessions and intentionally built long-term relationships to help create a plan.

In 2023, the newly formed Inland Coalition for Aging took the helms, established a board of directors, and recruited an IE-MPA Advisory Committee to help lead the IE-MPA efforts. The ICA Board of Directors includes leaders from Inland Caregiver Resource Center, Community Access Center, Inland Empire Health Plan, Riverside County Office of Aging, and the San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian.

With continued support from The SCAN Foundation, the California Department of Aging, and event sponsor Inland Empire Health Plan, the ICA is poised to lead efforts to facilitate systems change across networks and developing improved integrated care and service delivery of long-term services and supports.
